Granted $4500 to conduct preliminary research for my thesis entitled, "A Call for the Particular in the Works of James Baldwin and Roland Barthes" which focus on the history and conception of African American autobiography and self-writing in general as a form of art and protest. Fellowship culminated in academic conference.
