I'm not a big fan of jargon and chances are you’re tired of reading the same buzzwords, so I won’t use them here. My finance journey took an unconventional route. Initially, I helped my family budget to improve our circumstances. Hands-on involvement and application helped me gradually gain an understanding of the factors shaping our financial landscape. Before long I was successfully creating a weekly budget, informing my parents about the ins and outs of credit, and compiling financial resources for them to use. Witnessing tangible improvements brought on by research and informed decision-making strengthened my resolve to study finance and accounting at UT Austin. In my time here, I’ve had the opportunity to expand my knowledge and application of finance to other areas. My tax volunteer experience solidified my interest in taxation and accounting. I’ve gained global experience through my study abroad experiences in the U.A.E and Greece. Most importantly, I’ve had the honor of working with professors and mentors who reaffirmed that my direction is more important than my speed. Today, I am excited to continue my education to obtain a CPA license and begin a tax accounting career!Skills: Microsoft Excel, Python(Intermediate)
