• Supported over 140 student groups with events, fundraising and community action, through training, developmental, and administrative support.• Built an events programme to engage disengaged students, reaching over 1000 students in 2020/21, through a combination of online and in-person activity• Launched NTSU RAG, a fundraising group which raised over £100,000 in its first year through international challenges and in-person events.• Invited by the Vice-Chancellor to form part of the University’s COVID-19 Community Response Taskforce to support the local community during the pandemic.

Approached by the CEO to take on this paid internship following on from the successes of the fundraising from my team leading role.● Cold called students to recruit them as volunteers in a challenge event through telephone.● Responsible for marketing the project and the fundraising elements to it to potential participants.● Provided excellent supporter care by being enthusiastic about the project and answering any questions they had to encourage them to take part.● As a team, recruited over 400 volunteers with each pledged to raise £2000.● Left at end of internship.

During my final year of studies I took on this voluntary role.● Recruiting and coordinating a team of 18 student volunteers for a challenge event in Uganda which raised £36k in total.● Provided one-to-one support and guidance on the trek as a whole as well as ideas and encouragement in order to meet their £2k individual targets as well as meeting my own target.● Supported with fundraising ideas including a sponsored half marathon, a male volunteer undergoing a labour simulation machine, and other university social events like pub quizzes. The fundraising ideas were tailored to what best suited the individual to ensure they kept motivated and on target. ● Utilised excellent organisational skills in order to manage this role as well as my studies. ● Was given an International Challenge Participant Award for this work
