Oversaw the Business Development, Human Resources, Legal and IT departments of a government contractor that specializes in providing healthcare and human performance workforce solutions to government and private sector customers. In this role, I lead the business development strategies, including opportunity capture, solutioning, and proposal writing. Designed and led modernization of recruitment, employment, and HR tech stack and integrated customized applications to expedite business processes and create audit trails and on-demand reporting. Manage all aspects of legal and corporate compliance activities, including navigating federal and state statutes and regulations, employment law , contract protests, and litigation, agreements, advising executives and managers on a variety of legal issues, and managing outside counsel engagements.

Represented 125,000 of my neighbors from central Montgomery County in the Maryland General Assembly as a State Delegate. Authored numerous pieces of legislation including The Maryland False Claims Act and measures that that streamlined mortgage refinancing, spurred growth in craft beer brewing, cracked down on the possession of illegal firearms, and protected residents from fraudulent or retaliatory financing statements and liens. Named Legislator of the Year by Mothers Against Drunk Driving in 2013 and 2014, received the 2014 Public Service Award from the Washington Regional Alcohol Program, and the 2014 Leadership Award from the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility for successful legislation that tightened state's drunk driving laws. Drafted and led a multi-year campaign to pass the Maryland False Claims Act, which was signed into law in 2015. As a member of the Judiciary Committee and the Civil Law & Procedure Subcommittee, considered, amended, and voted on approximately 1,200 bills addressing judicial administration and courts, criminal justice and corrections, civil law and procedure, family law, and juvenile justice.

Authored appellate briefs for cases before the D.C. Court of Appeals, all of which were successful and 80% of which were decided on the briefs prior to argument. Drafted motions and edited briefs for cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and assisted in moot courts to prepare prosecutors for oral argument.

Supported the daily research and related needs of Attorney General Doug Gansler. Drafted guidance on various state statutes and regulations. Assisted with litigation research on several matters, including Maryland's Minority Business Enterprise program and anti-price-gouging agreements with national car rental companies.

Triaged all incoming media inquiries and requests and worked with Communications staff to coordinate response strategies. Led modernization from manual processes to cloud-based press communication management systems, bulk email delivery, and audio actuality systems. Planned and staffed video shoots with Senator Clinton. Primary headquarters liaison to communications staff traveling with the senator. Composed daily press coverage briefing for 7 a.m. delivery to staff and strategists.

Compiled and analyzed political data to prepare DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe for travel, events, and meetings. Produced semi-daily briefing memoranda on polling trends and activities of the multiple DNC departments. Assisted with logistical preparations for Democratic presidential primary election debates. Led preparation for all National Convention VIP donor events, including outreach to Democratic party leaders and elected officials. Directed online organizing program and recruited 50,000 online volunteers.
