Named Legislator of the Year by Mothers Against Drunk Driving in 2013 and 2014, received the 2014 Public Service Award from the Washington Regional Alcohol Program, and the 2014 Leadership Award from the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility for successful legislation that tightened state's drunk driving laws. Drafted and led a multi-year campaign to pass the Maryland False Claims Act, which was signed into law in 2015.
