Development lead for Development of Sheet Metal Parts- New product development of sheet metal parts, for cars ranging from Supplier Selection / Assessment / Audits / PPAP / PPM / Quality rating & SOP through APQP.- Includes Tool and Fixture design, development for child part as well as assembly level welding fixtures and panel checkers with line integration and management at the supplier end.- Collaborating with Suppliers and Engineering teams in developing parts by checking its feasibility and opting most efficient operations for its manufacturing.- Leading suppliers by providing technical direction to establish and validate (utilizing statistical tools) process capability to TATA Motors standards in meeting innovative product designs as well as test and quality requirements.- Utilizing DOE’s, DFMEA and other Industry standard tools to proactively identify and address risks and optimize process parameters.Supplier development and supplier selection:- Supplier assessment and selection based on technical compatibility.- Achieve craftsmanship score with continual component quality improvements.- Drive quality improvement through design changes based on Production line and field feedback.- Working closely with supplier to achieve target PPM- Monitoring the customer complain and resolution thru PDCA - CFT for VA/ VE cost reduction ideas drive and implementation through proposing new designs, part development, line trials and implementation.

Fracture Mechanics, SIF, Fracture Criteria, Mixed Mode Fracture and FGM.Developed MATLAB program for calculation of SIF and Fracture Angles for edge crackusing different fracture criteria’s and compare the result obtained.

Training on Heavy Machine Shop, Light Machine Shop , Rotor Shop, Loco Paint Shop and Loco Assembly Shop that involves complete understanding of the manufacturing process of locomotives and their development.
