International Partnerships Administrator
Stoke-On-Trent, United Kingdom
Acting as a key account manager for a number of the University’s overseas partners; City University, Hong Kong, GIST International College, China and Gulf College, Oman. The team acts as a central hub, a go between for the partner institutions and Staffordshire University, my responsibility was to ensure that day to day operations run smoothly, whilst ensuring both parties were abiding by contract and regulation obligations. Also responsible for organising and preparing documentation for regular module and award boards. I deal with a variety of partnership colleagues and regularly hold video conference meetings with a diverse team of administrators, lecturers, senior managers and executives to discuss upcoming changes, issues, plans and current progress, we discuss these things regularly via telephone and e-mail and keep detailed records of everything we do.A large part of my role is organising, preparing for and conducting educational boards, these may happen in the UK or overseas and involve a large team from both Staffordshire University and the partners, we all gather to discuss the recent student performance and results, changes to the curriculum and regulations and how these changes impact the students. It is then my job to implement these changes, upload and process data through the student system and inform our partners of the agreed results. My most recent overseas boards took place in Malaysia, in June, myself and another representative of Staffordshire University traveled out with a group of external examiners to conduct the boards over a week, holding up to 6 boards a day as well as meetingsDay to day I would consider myself a problem solver, either the partner or Staffordshire University present me with a concern or a desired outcome, it is then my duty to work within the regulations to solve the issue, whilst maintaining a high standard of quality and pleasing both Staffordshire University and the partner.
