Assessed the policies and practices of Public Works as it relates to homeless individuals and encampments, recommended changes and updates, and advised on specific incidents and situations.• Special projects: • Friday Night Market– Co-organized and co-directed this weekly positive activation of the UN Plaza bringing 3 to 5 thousand people to enjoy music, vendors, a bar, food trucks, and games.

As a member of the Street Homelessness Solutions unit, I implement and manage programs to house the chronically street homeless, prevent their death on the street, and to lower the number of people living on the streets of New York City through targeted outreach and partnerships with community organizations. I worked to design and manage programs that reduced street homelessness by 60% in NYC since 2005. Led DHS on this interagency effort to reduce homelessness in the highest density location in NYC. • Bellevue and Beth Israel Hospital Pilot Projects – Spearheaded a joint effort between hospitals and homeless service providers to address the needs of the highest users of emergent services. • Code Blue/Code Red - Coordinated extreme weather responses to monitor and shelter street homeless individuals. • Project Homeless Connect- Led the 2008 coordinating effort for this annual one-stop-shop event for street homeless individuals. • Project Reconnect- Selected to plan, coordinate, and implement a partnership between the New York City court system and the Department of Homeless Services.
