  My work involves a variation of tasks and no day is the same.• Lead on ensuring the most up to date national policies and recommendations are adopted and educated.• Lead on writing the Falls Policy within the Trust to ensure staff have the correct information as laid out by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence and ensuring this is reflective of the most recent guidance and research.• Educating colleagues about falls, how to risk assess to reduce these, how to manage them if they happen and how to use information gathered to reduce the risk of them happening again.• Report writing about themes and trends from ward level, right through to those seen across the Trust as a whole.• Data collection and analysis daily on a number of areas to assist with writing reports. When I write a report that is identifying themes and trends, I can then assist, manage or lead a quality improvement project to alter practice.• Assistance with and leading on investigations to then be produced to a coroner or solicitors regarding care of patients.• Lead on seeking out and educating about new equipment to assist staff in the safe moving and handling of patients after a fall.• Production of data charts to monitor progress on the aforementioned improvement projects.• Leading the falls education package delivered out to all staff within the Trust and keeping this up to date with the latest figures personal to the Trust and also policies and guidance that is released nationally.
