With more than 20 years of experience in fulfilling a multitude of senior roles in the steel industry, Sambeet is considered a veteran and an expert of the steel industry in India. At present, he is holding the position of President in MSP Steel & Power Ltd. His greatest achievement has been to grow MSP Steel & Power from a company of Rs.500 crores to Rs.5,000 crores turnover in 11 years (and it’s still growing).He has successfully set up and managed dealer channel networks, as well as lead other steel companies to enviable growth. Prior to joining MSP Steel & Power in 2011, he managed key responsibilities in Usha Ispat Steel (1996-2004), Visa Steel (2005-09) and Bhushan Steel & Power (2009-2011).Additionally, he has overseen the entire length and breadth of the processes in the steel industry: from sourcing raw materials (iron ore, coal, pig iron) to manufacturing semis (billets, sponge iron) to finished steel through to logistics, planning and implementation of systems and processes, team management, profitability and overall management of departments, divisions and the companies he worked with.His expertise includes launching new businesses, supporting them through transitions and expansions, operations and rollouts. He achieved major successes in establishing channels and distribution networks and creating markets where they didn’t exist. All this culminated in establishing MSP Steel as a brand to reckon with in the steel industry.
