I now provide a low cost, high quality and environmentally sustainable mobile knife and garden tool sharpening service across East Kent. My client base consists of roughly 50% pubs, restaurants, butchers, upholsterers, professional gardeners etc and 50% household/general public. Every day is different, some days are fascinating, most of my customers are ecstatic at having sharp tools again and I’m making a difference in terms of ‘renewing’ instead of ‘replacing’ equipment.I love my job!

Helped to set up a garden ornament/paving stone business with my gf's father (who'd started to develop the business in the UK, but was now emigrating). I joined them on a 1 year work permit.We built the business from the ground up, developing our own products, molds and finishing techniques and manufactured our own storage facility and machinery (commercial size cement mixer, racking, vibrating table etc) by hand.I learned a great deal and enjoyed every minute!
