I am deeply committed to fostering inclusive ecosystems in education and work, with a focus on disability inclusion. My roles as Vice Chairperson of the AI and ICT committees of Accessibility Standards Canada and as member of 1EdTech's Gen AI Data Rubric Taskforce strengthen my position as Global Accessibility Lead at D2L in championing the development of accessible and equitable AI systems and propeling D2L's vision for a better world where learning is even more accessible, engaging and inspiring.My passion for inclusive design and accessibility motivates me to nurture accessibility SMEs across all domains within D2L. By driving thought leadership and maturing D2L's accessibility program, we aim to create impactful change, making education and technology accessible to all, and setting a gold standard for inclusion globally. I am glad for the multiple opportunities to serve in academia as adjunct professor and graduate research supervisor, which help me stay grounded in reality.Through my work with the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) as Vice Chair of their Global Leadership Council and with 1EdTech as a member of their Accessibility Product Steering Committee, I promote organizational awareness at the leadership level about the need for holistic accessibility management. In this current age of rapid tech developments, accessibility requires top-level oversight and support for organizations to remain truly inclusive.
