Hi, I’m Sambi! A dedicated student of computer science at the University of Texas at Dallas, who is driven by a profound passion for learning how to bridge the gap between theoretical software concepts and their real-world applications. By using my knowledge of data structures, discrete mathematics, and web development principles.Ever since I was a young boy, I’ve been fascinated with computers. The hardware that built it and the software that runs it. My first interest in computers came from a personal interest in computer games. As I grew up I started to realize how powerful a computer is for solving my daily problems. Such as finding a specific recipe for baking my favorite type of cake, for helping me calculate the derivative of an expression for a homework assignment. I wanted to understand the “why” behind how all these applications work on a computer. So I decided that learning Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas was my best option. As a student of computer science, I am learning the theory behind creating powerful software algorithms, that can be deployed in order to solve a real-world problem. In fact, computers and the software that runs them have revolutionized every single facet of human existence. From the social media apps we browse on our phones, to the cars we drive it’s clear to see the ever-growing importance of software in our daily lives. Being able to comprehend the “how” and “why” behind computer software is key to me as a computer science student. Since I believe that by cultivating a solid understanding of the theory behind computer software, I am able to better create solutions to problems that were previously unimaginable, and as Bill Gates aptly stated, "The computer was born to solve problems that did not exist before." Once I’ve graduated with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, my end goal is to take the knowledge I’ve learned in the classroom and use it to build robust and efficient software which positively impacts millions of people around the world. Furthermore, I wish to share the knowledge I’ve gained about fundamental computer science concepts with younger generations of people in order to ensure the next generation of software developers is prepared for the more complicated issues that the human race will face in the future.
