Since May 2015 I have worked on the University of Derby Outreach and Widening Participation team.Working on open days and experience days with ages from 10 through to adult mature students. With the aims of encouraging more people to come to university and benefit from further education.

Summer internship at BGB Innovation, researching various topics for the company and generating research centered reports. Research into a 3D Printing facility at BGB that lead to the purchase of a 3D printer then helping set up and train some staff to use the printer. Also further development into another large printer being purchased.Research into possible FEA Analysis softwares for use within BGB and any training requirements for staff members as well as analysis into which software would be best suited for all areas of the company including the Research and Development Department and the Design OfficeResearch into a testing facility for BGB for all the various testing requirements and generation of a report detailing all the criteria and recommendations for further action.Research into the engineering use of liquid nitrogen and the safety precautions that are required for its future use at BGB on developing projects.Spent time on all sections of the production lines performing various assembly tasks as well as working on a product in the tool room using lathes, milling machines and hand tools

Purchasing, repairing and selling new and used bicycles of all kinds along with replacement bike parts, mainly from online sales but also some face to face sales with customers
