SIFE BCIT is part of an international non-profit organization that is literally changing the world with over 1,500 college and university chapters, in over 40 countries world wide. Working as a team of volunteers, we create economic opportunity in our communities by empowering and teaching others about market economics, entrepreneurship, success skills, financial literacy and business ethics.I was involved with assisting entrepreneurs to create business plans for presentation to funders. I took on the role of Project manager for Spring Living Fair, an event to help eco-friendly businesses reach more customers. Creating press releases in order to attract sponsorship and media to the event as well as providing all media relations. Building leads and contacting and securing businesses that would benefit from this event. Responsible for internal and external communications with stakeholders. Managing a team to create an integrated marketing communications plan. Provide overall budget and project reviews. We were able to attract sponsors for this event and had 30 businesses showcased and over 1000 people attend.
