Led and inspired a team of 30 responsible for welcoming and ensuring a high caliber guest experience for half a million annual visitors. Responsible for daily operations including ticketing, membership sales, fulfillment and services for over 10,000 member households, group reservations, information, access control, annual budget and strategic plan. Contributed to the development of a guest experience training for all staff recognized by AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) and emulated by other local cultural institutions. Worked to ensure that Birch became the second aquarium in the country to participate in Museums for All, an initiative of the Association of Children’s Museums which provides free or nominal admission to cultural institutions nationwide for families living with food insecurity.

Served as the primary point of contact for all new client referrals for pediatric occupational, physical, speech and behavioral therapy. Improved intake procedures, streamlined eligibility verification process, safeguarded patient information, ensured appropriate specialist placement and continuity of care.

Oversaw daily operations of the Museum and Hayden Planetarium which receives 4 million annual visitors. Led a large, diverse team of over 150 staff and department managers for visitor services, reservations and volunteers. Directed the Volunteer Program comprised of over 750 active volunteers responsible for delivering tours, educational programs and information services to the public. Enhanced staff and volunteer enrichment opportunities with the creation of a monthly curator led lecture series. Expanded accessibility programming with the development and implementation of Science Sense, a verbal description and touch tour program for blind and visually impaired visitors which received a Title II Public Service Award from NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Led a staff of 24 responsible for admissions, volunteers, information, gift shop, event rentals, group sales and business administration. Developed annual budget, delivered emergency preparedness training for all staff and volunteers, conducted evacuation training drills and served as Incident Commander. As a member of the senior staff participated in the development of the organization's strategic plan and made recommendations on temporary exhibits. Contributed to the successful launch of Juntos al Kinder (Together to Kindergarten) a kindergarten readiness program for local children and families with limited English proficiency funded by an IMLS grant award.
