One of the greatest tools humanity has relied on is communication. We use it everyday to convey our feelings, wants, and opinions to others. Communication has seen such a wide evolution and every generation has one new way to express themselves.Here is where I come in: I believe that the importance of good design is to have a conversation with the user. Design for the user not for myself; this is the mantra I aim to use everyday at my job. I graduated Indiana University in 2015 with a degree in Informatics, the study of information. I view my degree and education as being the medium between data and humans. Without any meaningful way to interpret data, it just becomes a sea of figures with no direction.Throughout my career I have spent time working through projects that help interpret numbers to everyday people. At Alight Solutions, I work with our client to deliver a HR Benefits Platform for their employees and retirees. This means navigating the complexities of Federal and State health insurance laws as well as the client's HR Policies. Some of my contributions include re-designing our client's website as part of a brand refresh; re-designing our client's paper forms for COBRA Enrollment and performing various text updates on the website.Currently I am pursuing a degree in Human-Computer Interaction and Design at DePaul University in Chicago.
