As the founder and Executive Chairman of Truescape, I drive the strategic direction of the group. I formed Truescape in 1995 in response to major legislative changes in New Zealand and other jurisdictions that were making approvals for major capital projects more complex and process-oriented. Our original focus was on providing tools so companies could explain their projects more clearly and therefore gain regulatory approvals more efficiently.29 years later, Truescape is working with some of the biggest corporations on the planet to assist with explaining their strategies and the value of investment and development decisions across economies, industries and geographies. Truescape is doing this through the deployment of all sorts of smart, dynamic visual tools that are way beyond an infographic as they translate data into imagery that can be interacted with. This is an exciting area of business to be at the leading edge of as smart visual representation is high profile right now as it is transforming how knowledge and facts are being communicated. As New Zealand’s first specialist expert witness in visual simulation, I have also appeared in forums such as the New Zealand Environment and the High Court, where Truescape images have been cross examined and accepted as evidence.My background is in building businesses, having over 12 years built a successful food trading business exporting products from New Zealand to the USA prior to founding Truescape, and undertaking property development projects in my home town of Christchurch, New Zealand.Specialities: international business strategy; visualisation technologies, development and management; stakeholder communications; expert witnessing through visual simulations.
