Rumson, New Jersey, native Sam Chandler engages in philanthropic activities with a number of groups and organizations. Throughout the course of his work with Change A Life Uganda, he spent time as a volunteer at the St. Lawrence School in Mygiera. He served on a number of fundraising initiatives while in Mygiera, including a $5,000 fundraising effort for the health clinic and a fundraiser for a clean water project. Sam Chandler has also contributed to the Nosara Animal Shelter in Nosara, Costa Rica. In this role he designed and sold bracelets to benefit the shelter’s spay and neuter procedures for cats and dogs.At the local level, Mr. Chandler served as a soccer referee with Rumson Recreation for more than three years. In this position, he refereed youth soccer and travel soccer games, ensuring that players adhered to the rules and spirit of the sport while at the same time managing the sportsmanship demonstrated by parents and coaches.
