- Responsible for supporting Controllership activities within the ‘Global Hardware’ division, reporting directly to the Finance Director / Controller. - Ownership for the accounting and reconciliation of global Microsoft software licence fees of circa $30m per annum. - Creation of annual budgets / plans, ensuring adherence to budget commitments and new initiatives (zero based budgeting).- Concise reporting and forecasting of monthly actual and outlook data to management.- Preparing and posting month-end journal vouchers (ERP Web ADI / Titan).- Standard cost setting in Oracle ERP and calculating intercompany transfer prices between plants. - Verifying and negotiating proposed changes in the yearly standard cost setting process. - VAT submissions to HMRC including the EC Sales List (VAT 101 form). - Compulsory submissions to the Office for National Statistics. - Calculation and distribution of month-end and month-average FX rates. - Cycle Count and Scorecard reporting. - Completing other account reconciliations and identifying action items to resolve variances. - Sub-ledger ageing analysis. - Use of Adaptive, Cadency, Oracle ERP, SAP EDW and Titan software / applications. - Advanced use of MS Excel including graphs, vlookups and pivot tables.- Working to tight and competing corporate deadlines requiring high organisational ability. - Engaging and supporting in 'Continuous Improvement' initiatives across Finance. - Developing process improvements aimed at accuracy and streamlining. - Assisting and collaborating with the team to ensure the resolution of complex issues. - Extensive communications with colleagues, budget holders and senior management via face to face, email, telephone, Skype and WebEx platforms. - Ongoing ‘NCR University’ training and development.
