When I joined Expereo, it was going through an exciting digital and cultural transformation, to become a trailblazer in its industry. My area of responsibility was a domain of disenchanted users, who had just been through a painful and delayed go-live of Salesforce, their new CRM, which had a lot of issues and severe process gaps because it was launched too early.I transformed the relationship between the user communities and digital, helping both sides appreciate the others' challenges and pain points. I set up processes and feedback loops, de-mystified the product direction, and provided focus and clarity to the development teams.I have since led a couple of large migrations and numerous improvements to usability and the range of capabilities offered by our Salesforce solution. The impact is staggering - Salesforce has led to incomparably improved user experience, having the system guide users through processes, and the system improvements alone have led to a 25% reduction in time to deliver services.Now, we are looking at further improving communication, visualisation, process flows, automating key steps of the user journey, and utilising AI to enhance operational effectiveness. The aim is to elevate the role of users from a largely administrative one, to one focused on problem and solution management, having the system manage the mundane aspects of the day-to-day work.

Schluss is a Foundation, whose mission is to give people control of their personal data.At Schluss, I worked on the development of a personal data vault, to help users get their personal data from primary sources and choose with whom they share their data, for what purpose, and for how long. Part of the work involved helping users create and manage a digital identity for themselves, which gave them greater control over how their identity was used online.At Schluss, we blazed a trail by creating various new, privacy-friendly technologies from the ground up to achieve our mission. This included verifiable credentials based on distributed blockchain technology and an architecture designed so that no one, not even Schluss, could view the contents of someone's vault - or even know when a new vault was created.My highlights included being able to coach a development team in Agile and Scrum practises; being the Product Lead for a multi-organisational, government-sponsored programme to help users assign caretakers of users' personal data after their death; and being able to see a cool, innovative product with a purpose grow.
