AthenaDAO is a decentralized community of researchers, funders, and advocates working to advance women’s health research, education, and funding.I am a member of the Dealflow and Science Working Group, responsible for sourcing, evaluating, investing, and incubating in women’s health research.

• Led research team for phase-II clinical trials using cannabidiol products in Fragile X-Syndrome.• Managed clinical trial registration, cannabis license, ethics and communication with stakeholders (pharmaceutical company, pharmacy, ethics committee and clinical team). • Ensured the research team followed all regulatory requirements, university policies, and good clinical practices.• Developed, implemented, and enforced standard operating procedures for transcranial magnetic stimulation and MRI acquisitions and maintained TMS infrastructure and laboratory datasets (electrophysiological and MRI).• Mentored laboratory members and implemented methods to track progress in projects lead by multiple students.Research Topics: Interactions between the endogenous endocannabinoid system and the brain's primary inhibitory system of in individuals with Trisomy 21.Cannabidiol as a therapeutic agent for Fragile X-Syndrome Understanding the relationship between serum, Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) measures of the GABAergic systems

• Coordinated cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of 4 multi-year, longitudinal clinical research projects on the impact of sex hormones on the brain.• Established a multi-disciplinary research program on the neurovascular effects of sex hormones in resulting in a standardized imaging protocol, recognition at international conferences and publications in top journals in the field of neuroimaging and neurology. • Managed project documentation, including protocols, study reports, ethics and regulatory submissions and multi-modal biomedical databases (e.g., UK Biobank, locally collected MRI datasets).• Secured over 130 000$ in scholarships, research, and travel grants.• Mentored neurology, radiology and pediatric residents in clinical research, resulting in 3 conference abstracts and 2 peer-review articles.Research Topic: Influence of sex hormones on the female cerebrovascular system
