- Led team of 50 (internal/external) to transform P&G's data architecture from on premise legacy to a modern cloud native approach- In 2018 lead architect for both the data layer (data lake and warehouse), analytic front-end layer (Synapse, Analysis Services, PowerBI), and master data maintenance/harmonization tools- Since 2019 focused on both architecture and delivery of the data lake/warehouse/mesh. Deliverables to date: - Cloud native approach (microservice thinking blended into big data, elastic compute, data mesh principles) - "Data as a Product" thinking with separate teams across data publishers and data subscribers - Metadata service established to enable cross application communication about state and events across the architecture - Hybrid data model approach enabling data harmonization using conformed dimensions for large established data products and faster / lighter approach for emerging datasets - Multiple data delivery patterns across RESTful APIs, bulk data copies, custom extracts, direct query, and streams. Data authorization service handling complex security requirements implemented across these patterns. - Low-code data engineering tool developed to avoid redundant coding in data pipelines across data publishers - Microservice sidecars to automate redundant capabilities needed across data publisher teams (LMA, data retention, compliance, etc) - CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and infra as code using Terraform - Emerging use cases of how we handle our data in multi-cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS)

- P&G global technical lead for retailer Point-of-Sale (POS) reporting and analytic solutions- Proposed then delivered a full stack modern re-architecture to a columnar MPP back-end (Vertica) and reporting (OBIEE), custom data extracts, and visualization (Spotfire). Legacy solution of MOLAP cubes (Oracle Essbase) could not perform for large retailers with big data volumes. Also active in design for P&G data warehouse layer using Oracle Exadata.- Results include on-boarding large and challenging NA customer teams and converting demanding European market into advocates for the new architecture.- Personal growth included leading large transformation projects from bottom up, working with big datasets, and working across regions & cultures.
