Be London is a luxury serviced accommodation provider in Central London.Originally I was engaged by the company back in August 2022, and then more regularly in February 2023 as a consultant. In April, I began a position with the company as their Marketing & IT Manager.My marketing responsibilities range from property listing, photography and channel management, to direct marketing, promotions and revenue strategy.The IT side of my role is equally far reaching, I'm responsible for the management of the range of software and equipment we use at Be London. From the management, maintenance and front-line technical support of our PMS system, to developing the systems we use in operations and individual properties.

What Now was created in November 2020, I was approached by a start-up to build and design their website.Fast-forward to present day, I have around 10 clients internationally (one of which is the start-up which is now trading on a number if international markets). Assisting my clients needs with anything from web design to social media marketing, IT infrastructure maintenance to technology enablement.

My time at Wilberforce Chambers was one of great personal and professional development.I fulfilled a personal dream of living and working independently in London, and experienced a brand new business sector with a completely separate dynamic to that which I had previously experienced.I worked in a small team, alongside the excellent marketing executive and business development & marketing manager to develop and maintain Chambers' various marketing activities including:- Participating in Chambers' rebranding project, including a brand identity refresh and website redevelopment.- Redeveloping the system in which the marketing team manages event attendees and billing at various seminars and conferences.- Social media management of Chambers' LinkedIn and Twitter channels- Website updates and maintenance- Promoting the existing technology within the business to maximise efficiency with no additional (and in some cases significantly reduced) cost.- Redeveloping the Chambers' intranet and collating historical data and resources in an accessible organisation wide database.For my work at Wilberforce, I was awarded the outstanding placement student award by Oxford Brookes Business School as a result of terribly kind nominations from my line manager at Wilberforce Hayley Duggan, and my placement tutor Dr Sarah Mitchell.

My employment at Waitrose was during the second year of my undergraduate studies and during the latter of the nation's COVID-19 lockdowns. I left the company when my placement began at Wilberforce Chambers.I was a versatile member of the team at Waitrose, participating in a wide range of day-to-day operations in-branch, including: customer service roles, supervising the checkouts and handling customer disputes. I also collaborated with the management team on waste reduction strategy and the trialling of new programmes in store. I also aided the local IT ambassador and was a representative in branch for the companies 'Partner Voice' programme.

Gaining valuable experience in a wide range of events. Including weddings, parties and corporate hospitality.

Delivering high quality service and hospitality within the front of house team. In a variety of different areas including table service, office duties & customer service.

Working in a small team to create promotional material in both print and digital formats, maintaining websites and a social media presence for a number of venues and accommodation providers across the Scarborough area. Including The Copper Horse Restaurant & Cottages, The Mayfield Hotel, The Plough Hotel & The Yew Tree Cafe.

A member of a larger front of house team, in a range of capacities including the running of events and food & drink service.
