Cape Town Area, South Africa

Purchased a building in the centre of Cape Town to refurbish as a 150 bed hostel. Set up the online presence and operational procedures, property management system and channel manager. Exited hostel operations in 2020 and currently just a silent partner in the building ownership.

Purchased ALOTT and started process of integration into GoXplore family. In June 2023 Alott moved over to a full franchise model, and was rebranded as GoXplore Denmark in August 2023.

Helsingborg, Sweden

Became an owner in (then) Work & Travel Company Sweden in 2009 via a merger/buyout. In 2012 we completely rebranded both the Swedish and Norwegian companies to the new GoXplore name. My main responsibilities outside of 'normal' ownership duties are in the web re-development and marketing arena. Closed down during covid.

Bought a majority share in, what was then, Work & Travel Company Norway. Rebranded and grew company to largest specialised work and travel provider in Norway, then merged with Swedish company and grew GoXplore brand further to Finland. Closed down operation during covid.

Started up a Finnish division of GoXplore.

Co-founded Tupela in 2002 with the launch of Travellerspoint.com, a global travel community. Bought out Travelblogs.com in 2006. Grew Travellerspoint to over 1m members before selling my share in 2016.

In charge of the product portfolio and communication with partners and franchisees.

Hilversum, The Netherlands

Originally a 1 year position filling in for the EMEA region gatekeeper who was on leave. After completion took over as the developer for Europe's Nike-wearing professional basketball and volleyball teams.
