Primary designer for in-depth design research and redesign of experimental scientific computing interface for human/machine-learning interaction in chemical optimization tasks.• Designed and ran 14 IRB-cleared user research testing sessions to identify key issues with users’ understanding of product interface. Collected, coded and analyzed actionable interaction data.• Created and maintained project management workspace for research team using Notion.• Developed ~10 looks-like and works-like redesigns using Figma, Framer, Sketch, paper prototyping, and HTML/CSS/JS.• After user-tests, created multiple redesigned interface options which showed significant improvements to user understanding and performance in additional user interviews.• Shared findings in detailed report and presentation highlighting 3 key opportunities to substantially improve product’s interface design to aid user comprehension and engagement.
