As a Civil Supervisor and Geotechnical Inspector for the Aldoga Solar Farm project, I am responsible for overseeing the construction of critical infrastructure, including the substation pad and various concrete structures. My role involves ensuring that all civil works are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety, with a particular focus on the following areas:Supervision and Oversight: Leading and managing teams from both Genus and a civil crew subcontracted from McCoska’s to construct the substation pad and associated concrete structures, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.Geotechnical Inspections: Conducting comprehensive geotechnical inspections for crane pads, peers, piling, and foundation works for power poles, lighting masts, and buildings. Bruce Highway Overtaking Lanes (Benaraby - Rockhampton)

PROJECT OVERVIEWCMC has been engaged to construct a critical overtaking lane on the Bruce Highway between Benaraby and Rockhampton as part of the Queensland Government’s Bruce Highway Action Plan. The Plan is designed to roll out multiple projects that will significantly upgrade the Bruce Highway to bring it ‘out of crisis’ and meet acceptable Australian standards. The project includes the construction of both north and southbound overtaking lanes.SCOPECMC is responsible for all survey, clearing of vegetation, excavation and fill of embankments, landscaping and bitumen sealing. The team will also manage the detailed excavation of one major cutting which will be stabilised using soil nailing and shotcrete. Existing culverts will be demolished with 306 linear metres of new culverts (using trenching and pipe jacking methods) installed.Major quantities included: • 33,633m2 of clearing • 10,737m2 of ground surface treatment • 24,227m3 of excavation (cut to fill) • 10,493m3 of embankment construction (cut to fill) • 20,635m2 of subgrade Type A treatment • 6,835m3 of unbound and plant mixed stabilised pavements • 17,220lts of prime coat bitumen sealing (AMC0) • 1,068lts of prime coat bitumen sealing (AMC4) • 34,678lts of first cot seal (S07S) • 33,633m2 of landscaping works including topsoil, hydro-mulch and mulch respread
