My name is Sam DeBroux, and currently, I am a student at Aurora University majoring in Business Administration and Marketing. I also work part-time as a sales associate at Famous Footwear, where I have been for the past 4 years.I expect to graduate from Aurora University in December of 2024. Over my time at the university, I have learned the many different aspects of how a business operates, with a heavier focus on the marketing component of a business. Through the course of my class “Integrated Marketing Communications and Branding”, we did a case study on a small baking business, in which we studied the possible future products, target markets, and the best way to market these products to the possible customers. After writing a paper on the study, my group and I ended up getting high grades on the multiple papers written throughout the course.Throughout my 4 years at Famous Footwear, I have gained wonderful learning experiences on the best way to help customers and how a company works in a real-world scenario rather than just in an academic sense. I have helped out at 9 different locations throughout the northern part of Illinois, whether it be to help out a store that is low on people, or if the store is my home location. Our rewards system, which we encourage customers to get if they do not already have an account, is a tracked metric, and I always pride myself on being able to reach the rewards goal and help others do the same.
