I don’t believe in practising law “the way lawyers have always done it”. As a young partner, I’m always looking to take a fresh approach. The way I work is different because I take the time to understand what clients require and work with them to get the best result – I won’t sell a client a service that I don’t think they really need. During my 14 years in the industry, I’ve come to specialise in commercial and property law. Corporate, property and asset planning are all covered in a day’s work. When someone asks me about my favourite type of work, I don’t only talk about the big and complex deals. I take a lot of pride in helping people get into their first home, new business or next venture. I go the extra mile for my clients. I aim to make things easy and understandable by breaking down what’s going on or where the risks are. I take a lot of satisfaction in helping clients do something new and big that’s going to change their lives for the better. The law is all about people. Repeat clients are testament to my ability to build great relationships, as are the referrals I receive from not only clients but other lawyers and professionals. Outside iCLAW, you’ll find me hanging out with my family: my wife and the kids.
