Nearly 15 years' experience of supporting HE students pastorally, working towards widening participation and achievement in low socioeconomic communities. I have taught on a range of programmes including A Level Psychology, Level 2 and 3 BTEC Health and Social Care as well as FdE Medical Biology, FD Health and Social Care: Mental Health, FdE Community and Social Care: Policy and Practice, FdA Children, Young People and their Services, BA Children, Schools and Families, BA (Hons) Early Childhood and Primary Education and BA (Hons) Professional Practice: Integrated Health and Social Care and BA (Hons) Professional Practice: Working with Children and Young People. Currently I lecture on and am group and academic tutor for the ITE (FES 14+) programme. Further to this I am a mentor for Trainee Teachers as well as early-career teachers providing pastoral and supportive IAG when requiredI am also undertaking a Professional Doctorate with a research interest in exploring the differences in definition and perception of domestic abuse amongst British White and South Asian HE students and what these differences could mean for the creation and implementation of specific domestic abuse policy in UK HEIs.
