Worked in Dr. Angela Gibson’s lab studying wound healing in burn injury using human burn patient tissue samples, ex-vivo human skin models, and animal models of burn injury. Contributed to several manuscripts for publication and conducted experiments investigating the potential cytotoxicity of chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) on ex-vivo human skin models. Trained lab members in basic lab techniques, such as the aseptic technique and histology staining. Inspected and maintained equipment, supplies, inventory, and facility spaces.
