❓I am a people-driven energy ball. That's why I'm working at 7NEWS as an Assistant Producer and Social Media Producer, Sales Assistant at Myer and have a side hustle, Chipita, where I turn pita bread into pita chips. All of these roles have a strong focus on people.My top three skills include:1️⃣ Oral and written communication. I've demonstrated oral skills through MCing many events where I bring my charisma, such as at TEDxQUT. I've also commentated for Auscycling Esports National Championships. I've harnessed written skills through the Seven Network where I write news flashes for the anchor to present, and curate social media posts, focusing on using search engine optimisation (SEO) techniques to increase engagement on digital platforms.2️⃣ Building strong relationships. I use my curiosity to find out about people and their interests. I harness this at Myer where being curious is a must to find the perfect item for a customer. Customers have mentioned their appreciation for remembering them on their following visits.3️⃣ Tailoring information for audiences. Running a business has taught me how to conduct audience research and appeal to different demographics. I utilise this in social media work too - how I post on LinkedIn is different to Instagram.📚 These skills require both business and communication knowledge which is why I'm studying a double degree in Business (Management) and Communication (Journalism) at QUT.🎓 After graduating from university, I'm excited to continue my people passion through work in the media. I am keen to continue improving my presenting skills, in particular.🤔 I also love learning about leadership. I'm curious to learn how leaders can enable high-functioning teams where people feel valued, heard and trusted.
