I was recently promoted to lead sales from a store worker. As a result, my responsibilities are now similar to those of a supervisor. It is my responsibility to manage staff tasks, rotations, and attendance. I must make plans for each individual staff member and highlight the times they would be carrying out certain roles, for example manning the checkout or stocking shelves. There are high standards the company set which must be adhered to so ensuring the correct allocation of staff to achieve these standards in an efficient manner is vital. Furthermore, I am trusted to secure the checkout tills at the end of the day, count the cash to ensure the correct amount is there according to the system and deposit the cash in the store safe. If there are any inconsistencies with the cash then it is my duty to report this for investigation. Also, I have numerous ad hoc tasks which include handling complaints, delegating tasks to staff members as required and ensuring all stocks is correctly priced, labelled and located. In addition, I assist in the cleaning, replenishment and organisation of stock too.
