I am a medical student pursuing my M.D. at Rush University Medical College in Chicago, IL. I am originally from Clinton, Iowa. My goals are to pursue a career in Neurology with further specialization into Interventional Neurology. Currently I am involved in stroke and cerebrovascular disease research and community service initiatives in Chicago. I received my B.S in Human Physiology from the University of Iowa. During my time at the University of Iowa I had conducted Interventional Neurology research for 4 years at UI Health Care, and had the humbling opportunity to serve in over 8 different organizations and student groups which culminated into receiving the Outstanding Student Leader Award. As I continue my educational journey, I am always in search of opportunities to shadow, work in clinical research, volunteer, and work in interdisciplinary settings. A goal of mine is to travel to impoverished areas around the world and provide free medical clinics as my family members have done before me. This way I can maximize my benefit to our global community.
