Focussed on renewable energy projects, managing large teams with responsibility for drafting and negotiating key deal documentation on behalf of clients. Highlights include:• Lead associate on financing of GBP1.6bn Race Bank wind farm, representing multi-bank syndicate and managing a large internal team. Successful close in December 2016. • Represented Sponsors on whole business securitisations for two EU National Utilities with various creditors (bond, bank, sub-debt); restructuring improved S&P debt rating and led to pass-through consumer cost reductions.• Department representative on Westminster Energy Forum, a private industry body of 150+ organisations evaluating design/ delivery of UK energy policy.

Chosen to join the New York Office on secondment by the Global Project Finance Partnership, leading the associate team in that office on clean energy and other projects in North and South America. Highlights include:• Led construction and financing of Talas de Maciel wind farm in Uruguay; among first-in-country project designed to deliver on Government mandate to reduce reliance on imported oil; worked closely with Uruguayan lawyers and local stakeholders. • Post-build and operational work for Samsung with respect to Kelar Power Plant in Chile.• Developed pitches to a Middle Eastern state-owned fund looking to buy energy assets in North America. Won mandate as US legal counsel following pitches.

I qualified as a solicitor in the Energy and Infrastructure department at Linklaters LLP, with a focus on project finance. I worked primarily on international energy and infrastructure projects, with experience across Central Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Asia. Highlights include:• Advising an international sponsor consortium on the procurement, construction, operation and maintenance of a Port Project in Africa. Key role in negotiating directly with the Government, primary responsibility for drafting the Concession Agreement, Shareholders’ Agreement, O&M Contracts and Due Diligence Report.• Advising a syndicate of Lenders on a part-bond, part-debt financed refinancing. Key role in streamlining negotiating and closing process, acted as primary contact to all Lenders on a bilateral basis. • Advising a large syndicate of local and international Lenders in respect of the project financing of a port in Turkey. Primary role in reviewing project and security documents and liaising with local counsel in relation to CP process. Negotiated directly with Borrower and Sponsor counsel and assisted heavily in signing and closing process in Turkey.• Advising Lenders in relation to the multi source financing (a mix of ECA, international and local lender debt) of two solar projects in South Africa. Primary role in negotiating the Finance Documents with local counsel and in managing CP process/ datasite and closing.• Advising Lenders on four commodity-backed borrowing base financings for a multinational commodity trading corporation. Primary role in drafting finance and security documents, negotiating with Borrower counsel, liaising with local counsel in various jurisdictions and organising the signing and closing process. • Advising a syndicate of Lenders in relation to a biomass plant financing in the UK. Major role in due diligence process, particularly in respect of fuel supply agreements and grid connection arrangements.
