Employed as a Recreation Aide at Extendicare Heritage Lodge Long Term Care Home. My duties in this role include assisting in developing and facilitating recreational programming for residents of various functional abilities, transportation/portering residents throughout the facility, and working alongside health care, dietary, and occupational therapy staff for tasks such as meal assist and walking rehabilitation programs.

During this stint of summer employment at Revera Heritage Long Term Care Home, my responsibilities as a Reception staff included being a front-line COVID-19 entry point screener in the isolation pod facility for guests visiting the care home, as well as facilitating guest visits with residents. Additionally, I worked in collaboration with the Recreation staff to facilitate recreational programming, assisting with rehabilitation walking programs, and assisting dietary and health care staff with meal assist.
