Duties: 1.Contacts clients who are in arrears to ensure that monies due to the bank are recovered thereby reducing the need to write off non performing accounts2.Attends the weekly debtors committee meeting to provide feedback to Head Office Credit Department on the latest developments on debtors accounts3.Provides feedback to Head Office Credit Department on the latest developments on arrear accounts at weekly trade finance arrears discussions4.Visits arrear clients as and when required to obtain formal commitments from clients towards the settlement of outstanding overdue amounts and provides feedback to Head Office Credit Department 5.Adheres to the bank’s arrears policy in terms of the management of non performing accounts6.Submits proposals to the Executive Credit Committee providing status updates on debtor accounts with a high level of impact7.Checking procedures and compliance of all Investment, Debit Card and Forex files and signing off once all files are checked. 8.Reconciliation of Debtors accounts such as the finance funding accounts (Home Loan, Musharrakah Property, Equipment & Trade, Murhaba Motor Vehicles, Property & Equipment)9.Discusses and requests assistance from various members of Regional Management where a level of interaction with clients is required10.Provides feedback on a weekly basis to the Head Office Credit Department on all arrears where the exposure to the bank is over R 1 million 11.Presents feedback on a weekly basis to the Head Office Credit Department on all non finalised property, equipment and motor vehicle transactions12.Liaises with the Head Office Legal Department on all accounts which have been transferred to Legal for collection13.Contacts clients whose accounts are in arrears related to the change in mark-ups on Musharaka transactions to recover outstanding amounts

Duties: 1.Analysis of financial statements and management accounts in order to assess financial performance of applicants as well as guarantor entities which includes preparation of Income Statement, Balance sheet spread and consolidation of Information where applicable2.Analysis of Value Added Tax (VAT) returns and book debts3.Researches market trends, perform qualitative reviews, corporate ratings and determines affordability of repayments4.Obtains information on clients’ background, nature of business, location, management , customer and supplier information5.Requests Kreditinform report to determine clients credit history, bank reports and security confirmations if it is related to a trade client6.Summarises detailed needs and requirements of clients and comments on utilisation to ensure that the correct product is offered to the customer and that it satisfies their needs7.Prepares and updates detailed manual exposure report for Group in terms of security by ensuring securities are correctly loaded, financials are updated on Al Baraka Financial System (AFS), qualitative review status is updated, valuations are up to date and follows up on arrears if applicable7.Provides sensitivity analysis for each application within the proposal to manage risk and bad debts and in addition identifies risks with respect to client and/or Industry and mitigating factors8.Prepares information sheet and requests Trust reviews from Legal department9.Responds to queries made by Management Credit Committee (MCC), 10.Determines updated book debt security amounts and ensures Administration Assistant updates on the system11.Prepares book debt pack schedules which entails security values for each client and risk rating on a monthly basis12.Responds to queries on the analysis raised by the Management Credit Committee (MCC), Executive Credit Committee (ECC), Board Credit Committee (BCC) and Board of Directors(BOD)
