I am a retired Brigadier Rank officer of the Indian Army, with over 35 years of experience in accomplishing challenging goals. An expert in Interviewing Technique, I have extensive experience in Personality Assessment while selecting and training leadership for goal-oriented organisations.I was President at two Services Selection Boards (SSBs) consecutively for a cumulative period of four and half years (from May 2018 to October 2022). During this period, I was directly responsible for selecting more than 3000 candidates for their future leadership role in the Indian Defence Forces. I also trained about 45 new assessors (Majors to Major Generals rank), for their future deployment as assessors at the SSBs.I was fortunate to serve at the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA) Khadakwasla, Pune for two years as an Instructor.I headed the Indian Army’s Computerised Wargaming Development Centre and made significant contributions in development of wargaming software solutions of Constructive Simulations, for training military commanders in critical operational decision making.I am an internationally certified Career Coach with Advanced Credits, and I guide students in making informed career choice decisions by employing ‘FIVE-Dimensional Assessment Framework’ while carrying out their Psychometric Assessment.My qualifications include Masters in Science in ‘Defence and Strategic Studies’ from University of Madras and LLB from Delhi University. My passion for Law and gratitude for medical profession motivated me to complete the PG Diploma in Medical Law and Ethics (PGDMLE) from the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore.My service with the Army provided me with the opportunity to serve across the lengths and breadth of the country (ie from J&K to Kerala, from the deserts of Rajasthan to the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Asam, Manipur, Nagaland and Mizoram) in various critical operational appointments. That also provided occasions for gaining deep knowledge and awareness of the local demography, culture, lifestyle and challenges.I also served with the Indian Peace Keeping Forces (IPKF) deployed in Northern Sri Lanka. Further, for one year, I was the Military Advisor to the Force Commander in the UN Peace keeping Forces in Ethiopia Eritrea (UNMEE).
