I am the BBC's Middle East Correspondent based in the Gulf region. I set up the Dubai bureau and I also head the editorial operations for the Gulf. ET NowI got promoted to the position of Principal Correspondent at ET Now. During this period - I was given additional responsibilities to start tracking merger & acquisition across different sectors. I broke some exclusive deal stories including India's infrastructure company GVK buying a controlling stake in a mine owned by Hancock in Australia. At that time this was the biggest coal asset block sale in Australia.

Within a year I got promoted to the position of Senior Correspondent.In addition to my existing beats, I also started covering infrastructure and real estate sectors. During this period - I broke some of the biggest stories pertaining to these sectors. I closely followed and reported a series of exclusive stories about Kingfisher Airlines (owned by Vijay Mallya), when it was on the verge of collapsing.

After spending one year with the newspaper, I was transferred to the Times Group's New Business News Channel - ET Now. The channel was launched in 2009. I was part of the pilot team and was the core member of the Corporate Reporting Tea.I got promoted to the position of Correspondent and was assigned three beats - aviation, hospitality & steel.In addition to these - I also contributed by covering other sectors. I became the only television journalist to get an exclusive interview with Ratan Tata -right after he announced - that he would be stepping down as Chairman of the Tata Group in August 2010.

For six months - I covered various news events & sectors. I wrote many major business stories across industries during this period. I closely covered the landmark - Reliance Industries vs ADAG Gas dispute that was been fought in the Bombay High Court in 2008 - 2009. The case shaped the natural gas pricing policy for the country.
