- Overseeing all business units and subsidiaries companies withthe wider group, ensuring advice and Intermediary services arecompliant with the FAIS Act and all other acts applicable to theLong Term and Short Term Insurance industry, includingcompliance with the FICA Act.- Amendments to the business Risk Management Plan, CorporateGovernance Framework, Complaints Handling Process etc.- Regular review and assessment of the Operational RiskManagement Plans, ensuring the business is not exposed tomaterial risk, which could impact brand and reputation.- Fit and Proper Due Diligence onboarding checks with all newrepresentatives and existing reps to ensure requisites are metwithin legislated timeframes.- Sound knowledge and interpretation of various legislation andregulation about the financial services and banking industry aswell as reporting to the shareholders and directors regardingchanges to legislation, for example, COFI, Twin Peaks Model,POPIA, PPR, TCF and Market Conduct Analysis.- Preparation and analysis of quarterly Conduct of BusinessReturns, which overarching Insurers report on the PrudentialAuthority (PA).- Managing and Oversight of various other ad hoc processdocuments which are regularly reviewed, i.e. Business Continuityand Disaster Recovery Plans, Statutory Disclosure Notices onvarious products being distributed to clients.- Liaising with governing bodies such as the FSCA regarding theregular updating of the company and subsidiaries' RepRegister, together with the submission of various applications tothe different reporting analysts within FSCA with respect to RE5Exemption for REPS, Extensions on Qualification Requirements forpreviously disadvantaged reps.
