Review of audit work papers, engagement manager on various audit engagements including supervision and delegation of duties to team members and providing on-the-job training in relation to technical issues such as tax-effect accounting, cash flow statement, consolidation of group accounts and ensuring that the team delivers on a timely basis.

- In-charge of major international and national clients and reporting directly to the Engagement Manager and Partner with major responsibilities including:- Planning and completion of audit engagement including pre-audit meetings with clients, preparation of audit strategy memorandum and audit fee budgets.- Assisting engagement managers in designing audit steps for testing on internal controls and tailoring audit programmes for substantive testing.- Preparation and review of the statutory financial statements in accordance with the Accounting, Auditing Standards and Statutory requirements.- Assisting engagement managers with consolidation of group accounts and IFRS projects.- Writing management letters stating the weaknesses in the system of internal control and other irregularities noted in the course of external audit together with recommendation for improvement thereon.- Liaison and discussions with senior client personnel and correspondence with external parties in relation to audit queries and issues.- Review of audit files and clearance of audit and technical issues with the Partner and Manager on the engagement. Providing on-job training to audit team members throughout the audit and also through coaching notes.- Undertaking special assignments such as agreed upon procedures engagements in consultation with the Partner and Manager as and when required.

Seconded to PwC, Auckland from 21 March 2011 to 16 September 2011. Responsibilities included:- Leading external audit engagements in various industries such as retail and wholesale - Preparing audit plans and budgets, identifying significant risks, and developing specific audit procedures to address the audit risks.- Reviewing financial statements under NZ IFRS.- Liaising with senior client representatives in relation to audit and financial reporting,- Managing, coaching and supervising junior staff.- Addressing client requests for assistance on a timely basis.
