Planning and leading age-appropriate activities, games, sports, arts and crafts, nature exploration, and other recreational activities to engage campers and promote their physical, social, and emotional development.m: Implementing camp rules and behaviour expectations, managing conflicts, and promoting positive behaviour through positive reinforcement, role modelling, and effective communication. Providing emotional support and being a positive role model for campers, offering guidance, and helping them navigate challenges or homesickness. Ensuring a safe camp environment by identifying and mitigating potential hazards, following safety protocols, and being trained in first aid and CPR to respond to emergencies promptly. Collaborating with other camp staff members, including fellow counselors and supervisors, to coordinate activities, plan schedules, and provide a cohesive camp experience. Maintaining open and effective communication with campers, their families, and fellow staff members, including providing updates, addressing concerns, and relaying important information. Documenting incidents, accidents, and other relevant information regarding campers' progress, behaviours, and any medical issues, ensuring accurate and confidential record-keeping. Being a positive role model for campers, demonstrating enthusiasm, respect, responsibility, and good sportsmanship, while upholding the camp's values and policies. Assisting with meal times, ensuring campers are properly hydrated and nourished, assisting with transportation to and from activities, and participating in staff meetings and training sessions.
