As a Principal of Vertica Engineering, my duties include oversight of the business operations and development, project management and design as well as technical reviews and analysis. Biofuel Evolution is a clean tech, research and development start-up converting food and organic waste into accessible and affordable clean energy.In 2016, Jaymish and Viral Patel created Biofuel Evolution. Their aim was simple: Use their expertise to enhance and impact people’s lives in order to help facilitate a more sustainable planet. While brainstorming potential projects, they developed an idea of converting food waste into sustainable energy in the form of advanced biofuels.Collaborating with strategic and educational partners, the team were able to further refine and develop their hypothesis and vision into a working prototype.The prototype has been both tested and validated as a viable energy conversion process by London Southbank University as part of the Greentech Access to Innovation (A2i) programme.’

- Provides engineering and design expertise in assigned area of vessel Outfitting, includingsuch elements and components as; vessel Mission equipment, cranes, winches,anchoring; mooring, davits, watertight doors & hatches, Joiner interioraccommodations; HVAC systems by preparing design and calculation packages toensure contract design requirements are met.- Supports guidance and oversight to other junior engineers, designer or subcontractors.- Develops and/or reviews design documents for marine craft / vessels in order to achievecustomer, classification society and regulatory approval.- Develops material specifications and bills of material in accordance with materialstrategies and customer requirements.- Provide direction to suppliers and subcontractors related to the Marine Systems designto achieve contract, cost and schedule performance.

Mechanical Systems Designer

Designed and drafted plumbing and HVAC systems for residential and commercial buildings.

Designed and modelled, using Solidworks 3D, fired oil heaters for oil refineries. Gained experience with process piping, manufacturing cast made structural components, welding, material selection and heat transfer.
