•Worked on projects related to DFT (Domestic Fire Tender), APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) and FDU(Fuel Dispensing Unit.•Designed and selected the components for a fuel dispensing unit giving a continuous flow of 75 L/Min with an outlet head of 1m and able to withstand 2g of lateral acceleration, by using Pro Engineering software, and by adhering to standards and specifications described in the tender. Also, participated in the final trial of the unit.•Led the team for designing and testing an Auxiliary Power Unit used to power tank equipment, using a horizontal diesel engine as the prime mover.•Carried out part procurement for DFT coordinating with various vendors to ensure timely arrival of the parts, and to ensure that the parts were up to the required specifications. Also designed the piping system using FLUENT of the DFT and carried out the quality assurance of the units and aided in the selection of the pumps for the system.

Taxila

•Assembled engines of various sizes and power ratings ranging from 610 BHP to 850 BHP, involving both turbo charged and naturally aspirated engines having boxer, V type and inline configurations, by working directly with the engine assembly team.•Carried out valve timing of a number of engines having two cylinder banks. Also, carried out cylinder leak down tests to determine whether any leakages consisted in the cylinder, either through the exhaust valves or through the piston rings by measuring the percentage of leakage.•Took part in the final testing of engines on the engine test bench, with special emphasis on measuring the engine temperature and carrying out a thermal stress analysis of the engine on ANSYS.
