o Managed successfully to enhance refinery units’ stability and availability up to 98%safely.o Embarked on enhancing programs of various operations levels manpowercompetencies, which enabled smooth knowledge transfer between expats and freshemployees

o To optimize Gasoline complex of CCR, NHT, ISM& BEU units, I was assigned to work asoperations area manager at which gasoline yield and octane was optimized and enabledincreasing refinery profit margin. This was achieved by attending all identified bottlenecksthrough a short duration complex shutdown.

On September 2010 to May 2012, I was assigned to work as operations representative ofSaudi Aramco of Hydrocracker EPC (Engineering, Procurement & construction) projectphase in Seoul, South Korea. At which:o Partnered with PMT (hand-in-glove) and delivered Company Commitment ahead oftime with required quality.o Introduced several initiatives to the design of the plant based on wealth of experiencein different refinery plants at different capacities.o Managed program efficiently and optimized cost which was highly appreciated bySaudi Aramco Management and the new shareholder SINOPIC.o Introduced strategic change both within and outside the organization and met projectchallenges.o Developed and introduced several cutting edge programs/processes which lead tosuccess of the project.When arriving In Kingdom refinery site at Yanbu Industrial Royal Commission by mid of2012, I embarked with the team to prepare for refinery units Pre-commissioning andcommissioning phase, including procedures development, manpower recruitment andmanning’ familiarization which helped successfully to commission all YASREF refineryprocess & utility units smoothly, safely and on a recorded duration.

August 2006 to July 2010, I was moved to work for Yanbu Export Refinery Project –YASREF now - as a Project Manager of Hydrocracker and Diesel Hydrotreator packagesduring FEED phase, at which I managed to complete this task successfully with the team upto package awarding to EPC phase contractor. Throughout this Project Manager assignment,I managed with the team to accomplish followings:o Lead the design office in charge of development of FEED (Front End EngineeringDetail) designing and scoping Diesel Complex (Hydrocracker, Diesel Hydrotreator &Hydrogen units) in Houston (United States).o Capturing worldwide financial recession duration for the project capital costadvantage by withdrawing packages from bedding stage and later re-submitting them,which materialized a cost saving / avoidance of almost 28% of capital investmentcompared to FEED’ estimated cost result.o Accomplished another cost saving/ avoidance of almost $218 MM throughconducting a detailed value engineering of HCK & DHT’ FEED Engineeringpackages, in addition to withdrawing and later re-submitting HCK reactors long leaditem during worldwide financial recession.o Further fine tuning of HCK & DHT’ FEED Engineering package, which minimizedlater change orders cost during EPC phase.o Arranged successfully to extend previously project awarded Long-lead items andstandardized refinery equipment with various vendors with almost nil or minimumadditional cost after the sudden withdraw of previous project stakeholder – CONOCPHILIPS- till resuming project execution.

After completion of 18-Months PDP program, I had been assigned to work as anOperations Engineer of different process and Utility units for almost three years includingcrude / vacuum, FCC, Platformer, Naphtha Hydro-treater, Merox, Tank farm, Boilers, MarineTerminals and API units.· Followed by 2 years working assignment in engineering department between Manufacturingplanning and Process engineer titles.· Then, I was assigned back to work for Operations Department as an Operations Foremanfor almost 4 years for various Jeddah Refinery process and Utility areas.· Followed by working as Jeddah Refinery Operations Shift Superintendent for almost 18months.· Then moved back to Engineering Department to work as Operations EngineeringSupervisor for almost 5.5 years.· During the last year of the OEU Supervisor assignment, I was assigned to work for OSPASDepartment to work as OSPAS Refined Products Division General Supervisor.· Then I returned back to Jeddah Refiner to work as Engineering Superintendent, followedby working as Operations Superintendent for almost 2 years.

After the successful completion of company’ chemical Engineering scholar-ship by 1988, I had been enrolled on an PROFFISIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (PDP) / Operations program at which I was trained / worked several Operational tasks, including Outside Operator, Console Operator, Shift Supervisor and Shift Superintendent for various operation units in Jeddah refinery.
