As a part of the Innovate@UIC program I helped the researchers and innovators at the University of Illinois come up with market entry strategies for new products.• Developed product commercialization plans for inventions of the researchers at UIC.• Conducted market research, competitive analysis, identified gaps in business plans and product features.• Delivered a public private portal for the School of Public Health, which would aid the governmental agencies and private retailers to efficiently manage the resources in times of emergencies.

As a Teaching Assistant for Advanced Database Design, an undergraduate course that teaches students the basics of Database design and development using Microsoft Access as the primary tool, I assisted the students with lab work, and assignments. I worked under Professor Yann Chang for both the Fall semester (between August 2014 and December 2014) and Spring semester (January 2015 till May 2015)• Graded all weekly assignments, mid-terms, and final exams of the class (65 students) • Assisted students in completing their term projects which involved building an e-commerce website for purchasing songs.

As a Product Management Intern for Coupa Analytics, the Analytics program of a SaaS based Expense Management system, I juggled between learning the nuances of Product Management and adding immediate value to the organization. My responsibilities included taking the marketing and sales perspective and integrating them into the product road map, developing user personas to shape the product requirements, and helping customers reach the 'Aha' moment at the earliest. • Conducted market research and competitive analysis to help design a go-to-market strategy Coupa Analytics.• Developed user personas, and identified the gaps in the product requirements.• Reconciled reports, and resolved customer queries on Analytics.• Developed customer on-boarding programs, educated them about the product features.• Assisted in conducting the Customer Advisory Board sessions.

As a Senior Software Engineer at Cisco Video Technologies I was responsible for leading the development of mobile applications that allowed subscribers to watch the live television content, VoD videos, and CatchUp content on their mobiles, tablets, and personal computers.• I lead the development of 'Video Everywhere', a HTML5- Native (hybrid) application on iOS and Android, Windows and Mac PCs.• I managed a team of vendors from Avaya Labs and LnT Infotech to deliver the PC suite and portions of the Android suite to customers such as TataSky.• I helped develop POCs of Video Everywhere for prospective clients such as MTN(South Africa).• I lead the development of major features of the Snowflake-14 EPG which was demoed at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2014.• I acted as the Scrum Master for the mobile application teams, authored the product‟s functional and technical specifications, resolved the customers queries, and helped build a competent team.

At NDS's(later Cisco Video Technologies) interactive television team I managed a balance between a project deliveries and research on applications on STB's, mobile phones (Android phones) etc. I learnt the 101's of business and marketing operations, besides the challenges involved in porting recent technologies on multiple platforms.• I developed a number of POCs namely : 1.) to demonstrate the capabilities of the Games Engine (an in-house graphic rendering engine for STBs) 2.) to help the decision makers check the performance of variety of STBs 3.) to demonstrate the newest trends in application and gaming arena on STBs• I lead a team of 3 developers and 2 QAs to deliver a package of 11 games to IndoVision (based out of Indonesia). Here in I put in a couple of processes to streamline the delivery and reduce the gap between feature development and its deployment at customer site. I was also challenged to mentoring the newbies.

My stint at OFSSL was a combination of great learning of the server side technologies and delivering of a data cruncher for Reveleus. I learnt the newest technologies in the market, and incorporated them in the existing product. In between I handled the support of the UI requirements for the Know Your Customer(KYC) and Reveleus Operational Risk (ROR) products from Oracle. A little later, I also had an opportunity of leading a group of freshmen, and helping them evolve their career as software developers.• Single Point of Contact for all KYC and ROR feature enhancements and change requirements from clients.• Introduced new algorithms in the application layer of “Reveleus” to support data storage in tables instead of existing XMLs that helped improve the data fetching and UI rendering time by about 17%.• Introduced the Yahoo UI library into the UI layer of “Reveleus” which was earlier making use of Java applets.• Awarded the “i-Appreciate” award for my efforts for my initiatives and support for HDFC Bank, ROR, and KYC projects.• Hosted Reveleus's Quarterly Open House in September 2009.
