Graduated from University of Moratuwa as a Civil Engineer in 1997, Eng. Sameera Priyanath has commenced the career as a Structural Design Engineer at State Engineering Corporation of Sri Lanka and involved in several high-rise buildings and state of art buildings carried out by the SEC. He has successfully completed the P G Diploma in Structural Engineering designs in University of Moratuwa in 2001 and obtained the corporate membership of the Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka. Sameera is a corporate member of society of structural engineers Sri Lanka and registered consultant for the designing of high-rise buildings. Eng. Sameera has awarded for the best civil engineering final year project in the transportation division in year 1994-1996 in his B. Sc. Civil Engineering degree. Eng. Sameera has successfully completed the Short Course on Structural Dynamics (Seismic & Vibration Applications) at University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in November 2002.Eng. Sameera with over 22 years of experience in structural engineering design consultancy, currently the Director – Technical of N S Associates (Pvt) Ltd and specialized in structural engineering designs and project management of diversified fields such as high-rise buildings of concrete structures, pre-fabric steel structures, star hotels, factory capacity upgrading etc. Eng. Sameera was the chief structural designer of the high-rise buildings such as free lanka capital tower at borella, Industrial Statistics department building of University of Kenaliya, Fairfield Garden apartment at borella, Proposed Blue Lily apartment at Pita Kotte. The management faculty building of the NSBM Green University at Homagam and the main auditorium building of Faculty of Computing and Technology, University of Kelaniya also been structurally designed by him self as an assigned expert to ECL.Eng. Sameera has carried out the structural designs for Hotel Manjaree at Sevanagala and reviewed the structural drawings of the Forest Rock Garden Hotel at Anuradhapura as exploring the different natures of the building industry.
