https://orcid.org/0009-0005-3705-7275Dr. Sameera Ali Rizvi is a public health professional having advanced level training in Epidemiology, Quantitative and Qualitative Research, and Project Management expertise with over 20 years of diverse experience in the healthcare, development sector and academia. Dr Sameera is currently working in the Department of Public Health, Faculty of Life Sciences, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology (SZABIST), Karachi as an Assistant Professor and Head of Department & Program Manager. As the Academic head she is responsible for the MSPH Program activities that include curriculum plan, faculty/student academic issues, and budget handling, moniring of program as per HEC criteria. She is on the panel of university Board of Studies, Board of Faculty, Academic Council, Board of Advance Studies & Research and Institutional Ethics Review Committee. She is an expert in quantitative and qualitative research. She has been engaged in a BMGF funded qualitative project for Policy Study on Supportive Supervision and Monitoring of DMPA SC in Sindh in collaboration with JHPIEGO and CIP/ PWD. Dr Sameera has been supervising the MSPH and MSc students undertaking thesis projects mainly on PH relevant topics related to MNCH, chronic diseases, mental health, childhood immunization, breast cancer, telehealth and menstrual hygiene. She has 14 publications in national and international peer reviewed journals.Formerly Dr. Sameera was faculty at the Department of Community Health Sciences, The Aga Khan University, Karachi. She started her career as a Research Fellow at Fogarty International Center, National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, Global Network Research Unit (GNRU)International Maternal and Child Health Research Training Program (IMCHRT). She received the fogarty training as a visiting scholar at The 5th Annual International Public Health Summer Institute, Sparkman Center for Global Health, The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health, Alabama.
