Duties and Responsibilities:1. Developing and writing of research proposals and protocols for grant acquisition.2. Molecular Diagnosis of Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML) Patients by Multiplex RT-PCR.3. Molecular Diagnosis of Polycythemia Vera (PV) and Essential Thrombocythemia (ET) by screening JAK2 (V617F) mutation by Ipsogen kit (Qaigen).4. Follow up of Imatinib treated Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia Patients and creating abstract patient data charts.5. Monitoring CML patients’ treatment outcomes and analysing molecular response by detection of BCR/ABL1 fusion gene by TaqMan based quantitative real time PCR (qRT-PCR) using Ipsogen Kit (Qaigen).6. Performing studies and experiments as related to research projects.7. Preparation of cells for cell cultures and visiting OPD for sample collection.8. Lead role in micro array study of our current project on CML.9. Modify, test, verify and analyze research data.10. Prepare research manuscripts and research presentations (Journal club and seminars).11. Presenting research data in international and national conferences.12. Conducting and leading annual workshop on Molecular Diagnosis of MPN and cell culture techniques.13. Teaching and training of MD students, M.Sc. trainees and technical staff.
