UL’s Intelligent Automation & advanced data analytics COE is responsible for identifying and implementing intelligent automation, data analytics to key stakeholders to help enable efficient process execution and decision making. UL’s Finance Transformation team develops and drives the Finance Transformation Strategy involving digital transformation, redesigning operating models, re-engineering processes and change management with the goal of becoming a world class finance organization and resulting in positive impacts to financial statements. Selected Accomplishments:• Baselined the current state of finance processes• Developed and managed KPIs for the global finance organization that measured business process performance• Established data science, analytics and robotic process automation capabilities within the organization• Implemented and optimized existing reporting, analytics and technology solutions, for management dashboards, providing insights into critical business processes • Designed and implemented the future state financial solutions within the Purchase to Pay, Time to Pay, Order to Cash and Record to Report processes, partnering with IT and other third-party solution providers as needed• Led cross-functional global teams to identify organizational and workflow challenges and implemented change and continuous improvement outcomes aligned with the vision, strategy, and priorities• Streamlined and simplified business processes using data driven approach and continuous improvement methodologies• Owned the Finance IT Roadmap and governance process• Provided corporate finance direction and resource allocation for ongoing and planned Finance projects • Drove the location strategy within process areas to take advantage of labor arbitrage• Supported M&A projects as required including ROIC development, due diligence and integration

Working under the leadership of the Chief Financial Officer, oversaw the Finance Transformation effort. Partnered with an external consultants to drive the project and set expectations and guidelines for internal staff. Solely responsible for providing financial support for the UL University business unit. Worked in conjunction with Business Unit leadership to prepare financial statements, develop business strategy, analyze business results, and prepare budgets, forecasts and long-range plans.
