I am a infectious disease research scientist with educational background in biotechnology, working in the field of public health. With active research focus is on vaccines/immunization my primary interest is to conduct research that can translate into evidence, which could facilitate policy planners to make effective health interventions in Nepal and other developing countries. Some highlights of my professional journey:• Selected Invitee, Experts meeting to advise the Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal on COVID-19. June 3, 2020 and August 4, 2020Expert Meeting participant under direct mandate of then Prime Minister KP Oli. Main agenda was to find a way to mitigate health crisis in Nepal caused by COVID-19.• Member, Advisory group on Scientific Research for COVID-19. Ministry of Education, Science and Technology/Govt Nepal (2020)Key responsibility was to advise MoEST on research areas for COVID-19 mitigation.• Member, Technical Committee to advise on 2019-nCOV outbreak. Ministry of Health and Population/ Govt Nepal (2020)Main responsibility was to advise MoHP on steps to mitigate threat of COVID-19 transmission in the country.• Advisor to the Ministry of Health and Population. National AMR Containment Policy for Nepal. (2017) Responsible for providing advise to Nepal Government in developing and finalizing national AMR policy.• Member. National Antimicrobial Resistance Containment Strategy/Policy development team. Ministry of Health and Population/ Nepal Govt (2017-2019)Representing GARP Nepal in the national experts’ team jointly developing Nepal’s first AMR containment and control strategy.• Advisor, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of Nepal (2015-2017 )Advisor to the Ministry in the area of biotechnology and Life/Applied Sciences.
